From the Ground Up

Elite Stone & Concrete pours concrete flatwork and builds stone masonry for homeowners across Northern Virginia from our base in Annandale. We are a father and son team: Santos has close to 40 years in the trade and Sergio about 20, much of it building for top contractors in the area. Driveways, patios, walkways, front stoops, retaining walls and stone veneer are all we do, and we do them start to finish.

Most problems with concrete and stone start below the surface. A slab that cracks across the middle or a wall that leans after two winters usually sat on a thin or soft base. We dig it out, compact it in lifts and set the forms or footings to grade before anything goes on top. Look through the services or ask for an estimate.

Common Questions

Do you pour driveway aprons at the street?

No. We pour driveways, patios and walkways on your property. The apron at the road is a separate permitted job, and we can tell you who to call for it.

Can you put stone over an old concrete stoop or patio?

Often, yes. If the slab is sound and drains, we can set stone on it. If it is cracked or sinking, we take it out and build a new base first.

Do you build the footing and block under stone walls and stoops?

Yes. We pour the footing, lay the block or concrete core, and set the stone veneer on top, so one crew answers for the whole thing.
